Colombian political scientist passionate about policymaking for conflict transformation. At the University of Notre Dame, Juan is finishing his studies as part of the Master of Global Affairs, International Peace Studies concentration. He has extensive experience in research, knowledge management, and policymaking in the area of children's rights in emergencies.
Wesley Hedden

PhD student in Peace Studies and Sociology at the Kroc Institute
for International Peace Studies. He earned a BA in Philosophy and Latin American
Studies from Tulane University and an MA in Applied Conflict Transformation Studies
from the Paññastra University of Cambodia.
He is the founder of Sarus,
peacebuilding organization.
Rachel Hamburger
University of Notre Dame
Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University. She is now a PhD student at the University of Notre Dame studying under the mentorship of Tracy Kijewski-Correa. Rachel’s research integrates multi-disciplinary data to investigate home health and safety in a pre and post hazard event landscape.
Spencer Sexton
University of Notre Dame
Recently completed the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in rural Ishikawa Prefecture. He worked with international students from various countries as a designated school official for ELS Language Centers in Johnson City, Tennessee. Spencer has also studied and interned in Beijing. He speaks Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. He has a BA in international affairs from East Tennessee State University.
